Martyrdom day of Rendo Majhi held in Kalahandi

The Saheed Diwas of freedom fighter Rendo Majhi was observed at Urladani in Madan Rampur Block. Urlandi Sarpanch Biswambar Naik presided over the function and Parameshwar Mund was the chief speaker.
The Saheed Rendo Majhi Smruti Committee submitted a six-point charter of demands to Kalahandi Collector RS Gopalan, who was the chief guest. The demands included electrification of Urlandi panchayat, proper utilisation of water from the Rahul, Budha and Utei rivers and establishment of a primary healthcentre. A copy of the memorandum was also sent to the Chief Minister and Health Minister. BDO of M Rampur Loknath Dalabehera, block chairman Hanuman Prasad Agrawal, Narla block chairman Kumarmani Sabar, secretarary of M Rampur Ramakrishna Ashram Swami Bairagyananda and Adivasi Sangh president Dhansingh Majhi were the guests of honour.
