Chess championship from June 5 in Sambalpur: The Hindu
BHUBANESWAR: Koshal Chess Academy, Sambalpur in association with Sambalpur District Chess Association would host the Orissa State Chess Championship for the current year in Sambalpur commencing on June 5. Orissa Chess Adhoc Committee (OCAC) convener Manoj Panigrahi said the championship was being held as per the guidelines framed by the OCAC. The five-day event would be held at the Janardan Pujari Post Graduate Hostel on Gangadhar Meher College campus and entry fee per player has been fixed at Rs.200 while local players would be required to pay Rs.100 per head. Accommodation shall be provided to all outstation players; Panigrahi said and added that entries shall be accepted till June 2.
