Khurda Balangir rail line demanded

Hundreds of irate locals from Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh and Khurda districts staged a dharna before the East Coast Railways (ECoR) main office here on Tuesday under the banner of Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Line Nirman Andolan Steering Committee demanding for expediting the construction work of the longstanding rail route and quick completion.

The agitation was led by former MP Shivaji Pattnaik and Kandhamal MP Rudramadhab Ray. The speakers fumed at the inordinate delay in the construction stating that despite allocation of Rs 120 crore by the Railway Ministry in the last budget following vehement agitations here, work of only Rs 20 crore has been executed.

    I agree Railway always neglect to this khurda-balangir project. This line will improve the connectivity other part of india for sonepur.boudh,etc.

    Respected members..
    I want further to says that khurda balangir rail line will improve the connectivity with other part of india..
    Again , i want to say that a new rail line will be propose in furthcoming rail budget: between TITLAGARH – JEYPORE via – bhawanipatna / junagarh. This rail line will improve the better connectivity between KBK REGIONS.. Titlagarh is the junction point between sambalpur – raipur – visakhapatnam., and The khurda balangir project was under work in progress and if this TITLAGARH – JEYPORE new rail line will introduce than the peoples of western orissa and kbk regions easily connect with themselves and other parts of our country.

    Yes., titlagarh needs development in infrastructure, education, establishment of new engineering and IT instituations, and most important part is in railway.. Titlagarh is the junction point but also after that it was a backward area.. Needs a establishment of new rail factory at titlagarh.. A new rail line between titlagarh and jeypore., via bhawanipatna

    While discussion on development in KBK regions, than always two name was considered kalahandi and koraput.. What about balangir. Nobody have focused on BALANGIR regions. Balangir districts have major potentials for development in areas like health cares, educations, infrastructures, railways and other related parts. In railways , some new trains should be introduced in next railway budget 2012: like VISHAKHAPATNAM – JAMMU TAWI EXP via balangir., extend the VARANASI-SAMBALPUR EXP TO TITLAGARH ., extend the PATNA-RANCHI EXP TO TITLAGARH., a new local train between KBK regions like balangir-titlagarh-bhawanipatna-koraput., a new train between BALANGIR TO BHUBANESWAR via titlagarh,rayagada.,
