Following is a report from The Pioneer:

Members of the Kosal Kranti Dal (KKD) on Wednesday staged a peaceful demonstration here in support of the formation of Kosal State. A public meeting was organised in which dozens of speakers of the regional party alleged that how their regions were being continuously neglected by the respective State and Central Governments.

“We have separate Kosali language. Our culture and traditions are different. Our regions are the poorest in India despite having huge mineral and forest wealth,” Chief of the KKD Pramod Mishra said. “Only a separate Kosal State can improve the condition of our people,” he maintained. The demand for separate State of Kosal picked momentum in the State after the Central Government decided to carve Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh.

The KKD wants a new State comprising the districts of Bargarh, Balangir, Boudh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Koraput, Nuapada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur and Sundergarh.

    Dear Sir,
KKD means western Orissa comprises of Sundargarh, undevided Sambalpur,Bolangir, Kalahandi&Koraput. If this party likes to improve of these area first of all try to study the problem of grassroot level people of these areas, who are mainly lower middle class farmers, labourers. Then try to sort out their problem lilke DADAN for their empty stomach going out of State ,where they are suffering a lot.The area affected with this problem mainly in Bolangir /Kalahandi districts.Secondly, to sort out unemployment problem of both educated and uneducated mass of these areas.Thirdly, the share of funds from the state government diverted to these areas through so many JOJANAS like NAREGA in KBK districts-where it is 100% failure.Crops failure of last year is well known to all of us.But our farmars have not rewarded yet against drought effected funds/help from government.A proper enquiry should be conducted on PASCHIMA ODISA BIKASH PARISADA fund ,which is not utilised properly.People of Western Orissa like a leader like GANDHI,LALBAHADUR not like LALU JADAV,who sank Bihar in to depth of corrupton and undevelopment.Be try to follow suit NITISH KUMAR of Bihar ,who changed the mind Bihari people against their god like leader Lalu.Atlast people will lilke ,if KKD will involve in direct poltics solving small to smaller problem of day to day livlihood of poor people of this area.Peiple like me are waiting to openly support your dal, when time will permit and prove that you are fit for all those what people actually like .With hope and believe- a separae KOSHLA STATE.JAI MAA SAMALAI,JAI MAA PATNESWARI,JAI MAA SURESWARI,JAI MAA MANIKESWSARI ,JAI MAA METAKANI,JAI MAA GHANTESWARI AND ALL OTHER MAAS OF WESTERN ORISSA.
